Charlotte Wedding

Jennifer and Jason had their wedding at The Omni Hotel in Charlotte, NC. This couple is crazy in love and it can be felt by anyone spending time with them. I was welcomed as a friend on the wedding day and the entire wedding party really opened up to me. The result was...... awesome photography all day long! Jennifer and Jason both have outgoing personalities and they wanted to capture that in their wedding photos. Here is a sneak peak of their wedding images. Plans are in the works for a trash the dress session with Jennifer, so keep checking the blog for more info.

Terri and Brian Wedding

Terri and Brian had a great wedding at Rock Barn Golf & Spa. There were a few sprinkles of rain but not enough to change any of the plans and we had plenty of time to photograph outside. The day ended up being just right for photography. Terri and Brian are a couple I have gotten to work with on several sessions and I am always amazed at how these two light up around each other. This wedding day was no exception. This bride and groom had everyone laughing and having a good time around them the entire day. Here are a few of my faves from the day.

Jennifer & Jason Lifestyle Engagement on Lake Norman

I think the images should speak for themselves. What a blast! I dislike putting this in writing, but Jennifer and Jason have been one of the most fun couples I have worked with recently. We took a boat out on Lake Norman, jumped on jet skies and then headed to another location on the lake to finish up the session. Jennifer and Jason took me serious when I said we would photograph anything for their engagement photographs. All I can say is their wedding is coming up soon, so get ready for more great images.

Haithcox Eyecon Photography Lifestyle Engagement Session

Some people ask what is a lifestyle engagement session? Well, the short answer is we want to capture your lifestyle in photography! My next blog post of a lifestyle engagement session should answer most questions. Whatever hobbies or activities you and your fiancee share we want to include those elements in the images. Riding bikes, horses, motorcycles, hanging out at the beach, downtown areas, favorite restaurants, the fair or whatever aspect of your lifestyle you want to show off we will be there to capture it! These images make great wall portraits for your new home and can even be used on your save the date cards. Including the images in a hardcover book that can be used as a custom guest registry is also an awesome idea.

Emily & Phillip

Have you ever been around two people that are so in love they seem to speak their own language? Well, that couple for me is Emily & Phillip. The wedding was held in Statesville, NC with a great reception at Market on Main in Hickory, NC. Every time I would shoot an image and think it was the best of the day Emily & Phillip would come up with another idea. They were a great and creative couple to work with. Phillip is one of my former students and a photographer himself. As a matter of fact we both have work displayed in Raleigh, NC right now. I always have to put on my game face when photographing for other photographers, so Emily & Phillip I hope you love the photos as much as I loved taking them!

Erin & Preston

What can I say. Another beautiful wedding with a beautiful couple. The threat of rain was high, yet we did not see a drop all day. The entire family enjoyed their day and let me do what I do.... capture the moment! Preston's brother is also a photographer, so I have to say I felt a little pressure. Thanks for taking it easy on me. (Ha-ha) This will be one I remember for a long time.

Film

Kodak will no longer make Kodachrome film. Polaroid recently quit making instant film. Where will it end? Will we live in a world where film is just a memory? Will new photographers never get to spend time in the darkroom making real magic happen? My business is 100% digital, but I do teach a couple photography classes that allow me to get back to basics and pull out my Pentax K-1000. There is something to be learned and admired about getting one great shot on a roll of film and spending your time in the darkroom to really make it sing.

Regina & Matt

What can I say. This wedding was great! The wedding party was awesome and down for anything. Everyone really made me feel welcome and it was like I had known everybody for a long time. The location was The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC. It was a beautiful and unique place for a wedding. I wish Regina and Matt all the best.

Studio Bridal

I just shot two weddings back to back. One in South Carolina and one in North Carolina. I'm also gearing up to teach a Photoshop class that starts this week. Yes, my head is spinning, but it is all in the name of art. Here are a few of my fave bridal picks from my last studio session.

Regina Bridal

I just shot a great studio bridal session today. Some of the images look truly inspired by Vogue and Vanity Fair. Unfortunately, I wont be posting any of the images until after the wedding day. We don't want her fiance sneaking a peak! Regina and Matt are getting married in Fort Mill, SC in May, so you don't have long to wait.

Terri and Brian

Terri and Brian are a great couple to work with. They are always smiling and laughing, so getting great shots is easy! Terri is a former photography student of mine, so it means a lot that she chose me to document her big day Eyecon style. These images were shot in Lenoir, NC. The temperature was 42 degrees! Good thing they have love to keep them warm. I didn't have it bad myself because my fiance Kelly came along to help with lighting for the day. There will be more great images of this couple when I photograph their wedding later this year.

Aloha!

Allison and Todd are getting married in Hawaii. The families wanted to provide a big send off for them, and I was lucky enough to get to photograph this wonderful event. The night was full of fun as both families mingled and wished the couple a great start to their new life together. Music was provided by the local steel drum band Pan Jive. How cool is that!
